Cruising down the Highway…

Ford is the second-largest US automaker and the fifth-largest in the world. It has been in the business of automobile manufacturer for more than a hundred years and is a hugely beloved brand of car. But while Ford treasures its rich past, it always looks to the future. Its primary goal is to keep making its vehicles better, with broad design changes like Kinetic Design, which replaced New Edge, and exciting and clever features which Ford develops to improve the driving experience. This reputation for historic innovation is what has made Ford so successful, why it has won so many awards, and why it is loved by drivers then and now.

There are many exciting new Ford cars for sale that are just pleasures to drive. They range from the Ford B-Max and Ford KA, to the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus, to the Ford Galaxy and Ford Ranger.

The Ford B-Max, for example, is one that is quite compact, boasts an ingenious, easy-access door system and a spacious interior, and has been developed especially for the urban driver. It has an automatic braking system called Active City Stop, which helps you to avoid collisions in slow-moving traffic – an unfortunate staple of city life. You can control your music and phone with Ford SYNC, which uses simple voice commands. The 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine delivers the power of a 1.6 with great fuel economy.

I must say, I’m a rather keen fan of the new Ford Focus. It seems to blend style and comfort in equal measure, with an ideal balance of power and fuel economy, and a beautiful, flowing exterior design. The clever Control Blade Independent Rear Suspension gives you assurance of a smoother drive, the Ford Key-Free System eliminates the need to fumble around for your keys, and Electronic Stability Control makes for a safer drive by helping to prevent loss of control.

Where the B-Max is compact and ideal for the urban jungle, the Ford Ranger is a car for the real jungle. It is durable and powerful, boasting a rigid frame, robust suspension and a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system that makes this vehicle a perfect match for the most difficult challenges and the most laden and difficult terrain. There is a choice of four models, plus three cab configurations, all of which offer luxury and stability alongside varying degrees of space and lots of innovative features.

It is perhaps a consequence of having all these cars in its repertoire, kitted out with Ford’s own creative features, that Ford was described by Forbes magazine as “the most important industrial company in the history of the United States”.
